Five suspected pipeline vandals and oil thieves were on Saturday paraded by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Rivers state.
Operatives of the NSCDC had stormed a creek around Cutting Channel 2 in Okrika Local Government Area of the state through its intelligent report on oil theft and illegal refining sites, and the suspected vandals
were arrested.
While parading the suspects before newsmen in the state, the Commandant of Rivers State NSCDC, Mrs. Helen Amakiri, said the command would not relent in its fight against oil theft.
Amakiri said operatives of the corps swooped on the creek in line with its mandate of exterminating oil bunkering in the region and the suspects were arrested with many rubber containers to scoop stolen refined fuel.
She said, “The suspects were arrested while they were carrying out their illegal activities on oil facilities in the area.
“We got these suspects through intelligence gathering. Our mandate is to ensure that the pipelines are adequately protected and to ensure that oil theft does not occur in River State.
“So far, we got five of them on the spot where they were tapping into the pipeline and setting up an illegal refinery. They cannot overpower us. We will surely defeat them. We are working round the clock.

“The task of combating oil theft is not beyond us. In any situation we find ourselves, we work according to the situation we see on the ground. We were able to apprehend five suspects,” Amakiri added.
One of the suspects, Mr. Donatus Nwosu, confessed to newsmen that he left his boutique business in Aba to join oil bunkering because he needed more money to take care of his wife and two children, adding that he had never been involved in the breaking of pipeline.
Nwosu said he bought products from the thieves and went to Port Harcourt to sell them.
On his part, another suspect, Mr. Ebila Egedemhe, confessed to newsmen that he joined oil bunkering because he needed money to take care of himself.
He however denied that he was into pipeline vandalism.
He stated that he was a link to vandals who supplied him with petroleum products that he sold to members of the public.
According to him, “I joined the business because of money. There is nobody to help me and that is why I joined bunkering. I make between N3,000 to 5000 daily in the business. I buy from the boys that are producing it and sell to the public.”

Alleged RCCG Pastor Escapes After The Exposed News of His connection To The killing of A UNIBEN Student.

Published

on

After several weeks of seeking justice for the murder of UniBen student, Vera Omozuwa, who was r@ped and killed weeks ago, it has come to light that the monstrous act was paid for by her alleged RCCG boyfriend pastor.

Uwa was said to have been pregnant for the pastor in question and hence, refused to abort the baby when the pastor asked her to.

The pastor who is nowhere to be found now, as information about his whereabouts is still being investigated hired some “contract killers” to kill Uwa in order to save his face and the embarassment that would befall him.

Information from a popular instagram blogger Cutie Julls wrote that one of the suspects who was arrested by the police said the pastor had arranged with Uwa to meet with him at the church for a discussion to carry out his devilish act, unknown to the deceased that she was about to breathe her last.

Cutie alleged that the plan was hatched by the pastor and his wife and are currently on the run after being exposed.
