One way or the other we all have been with nonchalant partner, even though nonchalance doesn’t really mean that your partner doesn’t have reciprocated feeling but it can ruined even the most perfect relationship, being deeply in-love with them is the worst part, it can turn a perfect relationship into a very toxic one and they also have this tendency of making their partner assume they are pitiful which is not so.
Did I do something wrong?
Being in a relationship with someone with a nonchalant attitude breeds low self-esteem and insecurities because at a particular time when the nonchalance is at its peak, you’d became to wonder, where did you go wrong? Is it something you said? Is it something you do? This thoughts makes you look at yourself as if you are a loser or the one at fault, especially if you’ve always encountered nonchalant partners, the next thought is extreme, when you began to have thoughts like “probably I’m not the only one in his/her life”, “ if he/she really loves me they won’t behave this way” that’s the insecurity part, you’d always be doubtful of their real intentions.
Traits/behaviors of a nonchalant partnership
A nonchalant person can either be born that way or manifested the attitude themselves, and it depends on how you met them, A nonchalant person wouldn’t even show the slightest emotion when you hurt or insult them, they’d be like I’m used to it, even if you are doing it intentionally just to find out if they really care, they won’t even try to find out why you really doing it, they always have this aura of indifference around them, they can’t neither be excited nor manipulated, there’s nothing you can do to impress them.
With their unattached attitude, they tends make their partner feel inferior and inadequate, even if you ask them “don’t you noticed that something is wrong in our relationship “ they will tell you there’s nothing wrong, not because there isn’t but because they don’t see anything wrong, these kinda people don’t get emotional or panicky about something, while this is a huge contribution to themselves it’s a very bad trait in a relationship especially if there partner is an emotional or realistic person
Getting over them
Getting over a nonchalant partner is a very hard task especially if your feeling for them is deeply rooted in your heart, it’s best advised to talk to them first about whatever is happening or whatever you feel isn’t right! After communicating with them and you didn’t see any slight change, then you’d proceed to the next step,
Try your best not to talk or have any communication with them for a week
Do your thing, distance yourself with anything that will remind you of them, read books or watch movies , talk with friends, go to cinemas or if you are a writer , then write.. just make sure you are doing things that makes you happy and it’s time consuming, if your so called partner really loves you with this estimated time they’d call or reach out to you to find out what’s happening, but if they don’t, that’s also an eye opener and an opportunity for you to get over them and stay happy
Break all connections with them
Yes!! That’s it , it might be hard if you didn’t get slightly over them after that one week vacation but you need to if you don’t want to be the only one in a relationship, breaking all connection with them include deleting their contacts, keeping away from anything that reminds you of them, when you are fully prepared and you no longer think of them, you can call them and ask for a break up officially, and by that time the person will only be a normal human being to you then you’d know that they ain’t special, it was your love that made them seems that way.
So my readers, after this break thorough, give yourself some time, do what you love doing, explore and interact with different types of people, do your thing! With time you’d see the one truly meant for you! You are perfect in your own way and your real soulmate will love you that way without adding a touch! Your love is out there! Don’t restrain yourself self because of one billy! Okay that’s a humor!! Haha! And don’t forget to comment !!!
