More than 110 houses in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State ,were wrecked by flood on Wednesday.
Special Adviser to Gov. Bello Matawalle on Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Fa’ika Ahmad, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau, stating that she led officials of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to assessed the affected people.
Fa’ika said no life was lost ,and the state government has donated 330 bags of different grains to the victims. She added that they are working to provide building and roofing materials to the affected people, but the needy and the most vulnerable of them are being prioritized ,at first.
